Version 2026-10-05
This page explains what information the Monsters VS Guards store keeps about you, where that information comes from, and why it is used.
The store is operated by Tebex Limited.
What we keep
Your Minecraft account
We keep:
- your Minecraft UUID, which identifies your account in the store;
- your current Minecraft username, as reported by the game server; and
- a small image of your Minecraft skin's face, used in the store header.
To obtain the skin image, the store either looks up your UUID using Mojang's session server or uses the skin information already seen by the game server.
Only the face image derived from the skin is kept.
Your orders and payments
For each order, we keep:
- what you bought;
- when you bought it;
- the amount paid;
- the payment status; and
- the payment reference provided by Tebex.
This includes purchases such as Stardust, ranks and other products offered through the store.
We do not receive or store your payment card details.
Tebex sends us your name, e-mail address and billing address as part of processing a payment. We do not store those details.
Your Stardust history
We keep the history of changes to your Stardust balance as recorded by the game server.
This allows the store and server to keep an accurate record of Stardust being added or spent.
Ranks, cosmetics, claims and preferences
We keep:
- your ranks;
- your cosmetic inventory, including which cosmetic items your Minecraft account owns;
- your Daily Freebie claims; and
- store preferences such as your selected theme and currency.
Your cosmetic inventory reflects the same cosmetic ownership recorded for your account by the Monsters VS Guards game server. It is used so that you can view your owned cosmetics through the store.
Sign-in records
When you sign in, we keep limited security information used to authenticate your session and detect abuse.
This includes:
- a hash of the sign-in code;
- a hash of the browser token;
- salted hashes of the network address and browser, kept for a few days;
- for each signed-in browser, a hash of its session ID;
- how that browser signed in;
- when the session was last used; and
- a salted hash of the browser description.
The browser-session information is also used so that you can sign out of your active sessions.
Discord sign-in
If you use Continue with Discord, we keep:
- your Discord user ID;
- the time you signed in; and
- which of our accounts that Discord sign-in opened.
We never receive your Discord password.
The Discord access token used to identify your account is discarded immediately after the store has asked Discord who you are.
Checkout confirmations
We keep the confirmations you provide at checkout together with the relevant order.
For each confirmation, we keep:
- the exact text that was shown;
- the version of that text; and
- the time you confirmed it.
Why we use this information
We use this information to:
- deliver purchases to the correct Minecraft account;
- keep accurate records of orders, payments and Stardust;
- display your ranks and cosmetic inventory;
- operate account features such as preferences and active sessions;
- handle refund requests, chargebacks and payment disputes;
- provide Discord account linking and matching Discord roles; and
- protect the store against abuse and unauthorized access.
Who else receives or provides information
Tebex
Tebex processes payments as the seller of record.
Tebex's own privacy policy applies to the payment information it processes.
Monsters VS Guards game server
The Monsters VS Guards game server receives your Minecraft UUID and information about what you bought so that your purchase can be delivered to your account.
The game server also provides the store with information it records about your account, including your Stardust history, current Minecraft username, ranks and cosmetic inventory.
Administrators can also view the game server's statistics in the store, as totals and averages for a period; these never name a player, and the store does not keep them (each view asks the game server again). The game's Privacy Notice explains what the server records for them.
Discord integration
Our Discord integration keeps the link between your Discord account and Minecraft account after you confirm that link in game.
It also receives information about your ranks so that the corresponding Discord roles can be assigned.
When you use Continue with Discord, the store asks the integration which Minecraft account is linked to that Discord account.
Mojang
Mojang is queried using your Minecraft UUID to obtain your public Minecraft profile information needed to display your Minecraft head.
Cookies
The store uses a cookie to keep you signed in.
The cookie contains an opaque identifier. It does not contain your cart contents; your cart is associated with your account instead.
The store also remembers your preferences, such as your selected theme and currency.
There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep information
Orders, payment records and Stardust history are kept for as long as required by applicable accounting and tax rules.
Short-term sign-in security records are deleted after a few days.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal data, including rights to access, correct or delete it, or to object to certain uses of it.
